The Musical Theatre Program at Nosara Performing Arts Academy is designed to develop confident, versatile performers through a combination of acting, singing, dance, and improvisation.

During our Foundation Session (September–December), students build the skills essential to musical theatre performance. Through acting exercises, vocal work, movement, character development, scene work, and improvisation, students learn how to tell a story and communicate with confidence onstage. Classes are leveled by age and experience, allowing students to develop their individual strengths while becoming more well-rounded performers.

The Performance Session (January–May) brings those skills into the rehearsal and production process. Students work on scenes, songs, choreography, and character development for NPAA’s annual production, learning how to bring all aspects of musical theatre together onstage. Along the way, they develop stage presence, confidence, collaboration, creativity, and the discipline required to be part of a full-scale production.

Placement in both sessions is determined by faculty based on age, experience, and readiness, allowing each student to be appropriately challenged while growing as an individual performer and as part of an ensemble
