DANCE

The Dance Program at Nosara Performing Arts Academy is designed to develop strong, versatile dancers through a balance of technical training and performance experience.

During our Foundation Session (September–December), students focus on building the skills that support confident, expressive dancing. Students may choose from our leveled Dance Technique classes (Levels 1–4), which incorporate elements of Jazz, Contemporary, and Lyrical while developing alignment, strength, flexibility, musicality, turns, jumps, and movement quality. Students may also choose to expand their training through Ballet and Hip Hop.

The Foundation Session prepares dancers for our Performance Session (January–May), when training moves from the classroom to the stage. Students work in regular weekly rehearsals to learn and refine choreography for NPAA’s annual production, developing performance quality, confidence, discipline, and the ability to work as part of an ensemble.

Placement in both sessions is determined by faculty based on age, experience, and technical readiness, allowing each dancer to train and perform at an appropriate and challenging level.
