HAYLEY Macmillan-ord

NPAA Co-Founder
Aerial Arts Program Director
Pioneer of Aerial Arts in Nosara, Costa Rica

Hayley has been teaching yoga for nearly three decades, beginning her journey after years in competitive sports and cheerleading. She opened her first yoga studio in the Cayman Islands in the early 90s and went on to study and teach many forms of yoga and movement, including Yamuna body rolling, restorative yoga, and vinyasa flow. After earning her degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she shifted her focus to therapeutic yoga and body movement.

After discovering Aerial Yoga, Hayley moved to Nosara with her family and introduced Costa Rica’s first Aerial classes. Inspired by the joy and benefits of inverting, she created a children’s program that makes Aerial Arts fun, safe, and empowering for kids of all ages.

Hayley loves watching her young students build confidence, courage, and creativity as they master new skills in the air. She has developed her own unique style of Aerial Yoga and offers an annual teacher training, ensuring all NPAA Aerial Arts instructors share her commitment to safe, joyful, and therapeutic movement.

Oceanna
Macmillan-ord

Aerial Arts Teacher

Oceanna was raised in Nosara, Costa Rica, where a deep connection to nature and holistic living shaped her journey as a teacher and healer. She began teaching Aerial Yoga at just 14 and loves sharing the joy of movement, play, and mindful connection through the hammock. When she’s not in the air, Oceanna practices TCM Medicine and Accupuncture, and enjoys exploring tide pools by the sea — always guided by her curiosity, love for healing, and passion for inspiring others to move with intention.

Jameson is a dedicated senior at Del Mar Academy who discovered her love for aerial arts at just seven years old. By twelve, she was assisting classes, and by fourteen she was proudly leading her own. She now teaches an after-school program for DMA and an NPAA performing group for kids ages 6–10. Jameson’s greatest joy is watching shy students find courage in the hammock and grow into confident young flyers who share her passion for aerial arts. She loves the supportive NPAA community and the special connections she’s made — especially when a young student says, “Wait, you’re Jameson? Like the Jameson drop?” After graduation, she plans to take a gap year to travel the world, hoping to find aerial yoga wherever her adventures lead her.

Diego is a born Tico and a valued member of our senior teaching crew at NPAA. A senior at Del Mar Academy, Diego’s strongest suit is silks, but he loves being in the air any way he can — whether it’s on the hammock, trapeze, hoop, or straps. He’s known for finding new ways to explore each apparatus and for bringing characters to life through movement and performance. His favorite part of NPAA is watching kids discover their own strength and creativity, just like he did. Diego hopes to inspire every student to believe in themselves and follow their dreams, both in the air and beyond.
